Pinewood Easter Sunrise (Korth-P., – Korth-L.; 2021)
29”, 6”, ML, Dor., 5 branches, 27 buds, Tetraploid, Fragrant, Rebloom
Pinewood Easter Morning x ((Pinewood Easter Morning x Blown Away) x (Tower of Refuge x Fringy))
Pinewood Easter Sunrise is a much improved version of its parent, Pinewood Easter Morning. When we introduced Pinewood Easter Morning, it exhibited heavy texture from grandparent Tet. Linda Agin and good opening from our August Wedding. Now Pinewood Easter Sunrise continues those traits but adds a big fringy/toothy edge. The plant habit is exceptional with hardy dormant foliage, excellent scapes with high bud count, fragrance and rebloom. On some warm September days this year, we had beautiful flowers from Pinewood Easter Sunrise – what a great bonus in our climate.
As a garden plant, Pinewood Easter Sunrise will produce a large quantity of beautiful flowers over the bloom season and may extend the bloom season with its ability to rebloom. As a breeder, it is fertile both ways and has an excellent mix of genetics to produce exciting new flowers.
